Eco Down Black Long Coat in Recycled Polyester
THE SUSTAINABILITY
This long coat is sewn and finished by local dressmakers close to our headquarter, sewn one by one because Zummy takes enormous care over its work. The inside fabric, stitching and padding are made of post consumer certified recycled polyester. The outside fabric is made of fiber of certified post consumer recycled polyester, with a water repellent treatment PFC FREE certified ZDHC. The supplier of the outside fabric adopts the Chemical Management 4Sustainability protocol for the elimination of substances harmful to humans and the environment. Like this fabric, inks too are produced according to ZDHC and for this kind of prints the printwork obtained one of the most important certifications in the sustainability of the fashion industry. Buttons are in zamak and are produced by a company that has joined the Greenpeace Detox Campaign. The tape itself is made in certified post consumer polyester. We in any case believe that details make the difference, so for the labels sewn onto the garment we chose recycled polyester labels.
Washing Recommendations
Delicate wash at 30° C.
Avoid using aggressive detersives, bleach and dryers.
Iron at low temperatures.
Packaging
The dust bag containing the product is made of certified organic cotton, printed with certified inks, while the tag accompanying it is recycled paper. To better withstand impact during shipment, the shipment box is made partly of recycled fibres and partly of virgin fibres from responsibly managed forests. The adhesive tape for closing the box is made of paper from sustainably managed forests. We carefully designed the shipment packaging to make it easily and wholly recyclable as paper, with the sole exception of the dust bag, which is an accessory to be kept and reused.
